Last night, me and my wife Jennifer got dressed up to go out to an 80's night at a local watering hole with some friends. When we got there, the parking lot was full and had trouble finding a spot. When we did get inside, the bar was packed. Standing room only. Didn't see any of our friends inside. However, the bar didn't plan for this also being a football playoff game with the Bears and Packers. The majority of the people were there for the game. No 80s music. Though it was supposed to be a night where you dressed up 80's style, hardly anyone was dressed. The 80's night was a bust so we left after about five minutes as there was no seats or tables and this wasn't the Wang Chung everybody have fun tonight kind of spot we were hoping to hang out with friends at that didn't work out as planned.
Instead, we just went out to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant dressed like we were dressed. The looks we were getting and the reactions are hilarious.I guess we didn't fight, for our right, to partaaaay! Instead, we settled for salsa and chips. However, when dinner was done, I sang to her the line from Eddie Money's infamous 80's tune.... "Take Me Home Tonight!"
